Maria Calandra is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She received an MFA in Painting from Cornell University in 2006 and a BFA in Painting from Ohio University in 1999. She has had solo exhibitions with Fredericks and Freiser Gallery in NYC, Half Gallery in Los Angeles, CA and GNYP Gallery in Berlin, Germany. As well as a 2 person show with G/ART/EN Gallery in Como, Italy. Maria has been included in group shows at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, NY, Andrew Edlin Gallery, NY, White Columns Gallery, NY,  Nicelle Beauchene, NY and Johansson Projects in Oakland, CA. She has been shown at several prominent Art Fairs including the Armory Show in NYC, Dallas Art Fair and EXPO Chicago. Maria has been reviewed and written about in Time Out New York, The Washington Post, and The New York Times and featured in Maake Magazine, FUKT Magazine in Berlin, and ArtMaze Magazine.
