LBF Contemporary is pleased to announce its participation in Untitled Art Miami Beach 2025, with a solo presentation by Los Angeles-based artist Tianyue Zhong. The booth will feature a selection of recent works that Zhong often paints over long, focused sessions spent listening to the minimalist compositions of Philip Glass - music whose rhythmic patterns and shifting textures help bridge the space between her imagination and intention. Returning again and again to the same photographs and motifs, Zhong pushes repetition to its edge. This sustained, investigative process ultimately reveals the core of her practice - the pursuit of embodiment.

Moving from her hometown of Chengdu in southwest China to Los Angeles, Zhong merged fragments of presence and recollection into her abstract paintings. Her works are marinated by colors and light captured in her personal photographs, which led to a series of collages and drawings. The painting itself gains a living pulse; it works to hold onto those deep, intangible feelings and prevent moments in time from slipping away. The final outcomes appear to drift away from their original references, yet remain mysteriously suspended on the canvas. Zhong received an MA in painting from Royal College of Art in 2020 and a BA in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2018, and her work is in the collection of AMOCA in Cardiff, Wales and the New Century Art Foundation (NCAF) in Shanghai, China
